I created a mixed media background. I enjoyed it so much. I used ribbon, stampin' dimensionals and jewels from Stampin' Up!. This particular ribbon is retired but we have other ribbon.

With this challenge we used a sketch from Pinterest.

For anyone familiar with the Big Shot, you know that there are different types of dies. With the new annual catalog, we decided to create a system that will help you more easily navigate how to build your sandwiches for different types of dies in the Big Shot.

There is a color-coded key on page 215 that details the sandwich techniques needed for each die type. Let your customers know to reference this great new feature for every set of dies they buy!

Gone Fishing

This page is of my grandson fishing on 3 different days.
I made a grid background from scraps. To tone it down a little I added some gesso. I used 3 photos; faux stitching; and a sprinkling of Heidi Swapp Color Shine, Black Velvet. I used a variety of fishing stickers I picked up from Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

I really enjoyed doing this layout. It is a challenge for a Facebook group I'm in.

Hello Guys!

This layout today is using The Wild Hare Kit Club kit I purchased last month. The paper is from the Maggie Holmes Flourish collection called Goldenrod. I cut the triangles and the photo mat from the Maggie Holmes 6x8 paper pad, Flourish. The "words" paper is a piece of catalog paper someone gifted me.

The chipboard pieces are from the Maggie Holmes Flourish collection.

The enamel shapes are from Shamille's  Box of Crayrons collection.

 

The alphas for the title are some I had in my stash by Recollections.

 

I did this layout for a challenge in Scrapbook.com. I really enjoyed doing it.

Plan With Me Design Group ~ June 4 ~ June 10, 2018

I finally got my video uploaded. It just finished about 7:20pm and has
been uploading since 6am this morning. 13 hours!!!! These new video
editors are driving me crazy.

Art Journal Page 2

I decided to play with a few stamps today. I'm working on an Art Journal..

It's for a swap. I used 5 different Stampin' Up! stamp sets,

4 of the new In-colors Stamp pads,

Versamark ink and Ranger embossing power.

  

 

The butterfly and flower are painted with Close To My Heart watercolor paints.

The yellow cardstock in the middle is Pineapple Punch one of the new 2018-2020 In-Colors.

Planner Spread May 14 - 20

 I finally got around to working on my planner today. I hate when I'm late getting it up. I like to have it up on Sundays.

I use my Stampin' Up! planner. (Oh, My! The new Stampin' Up! planner coming out in the new catalog in June is gorgeous. I definitely will be purchasing it again this year.) I used a planner kit I purchased from an Etsy shop: BrittaniaNicole.

I feel like it came out good. What do you think?

I will be hosting a virtual scrapbook crop on Facebook next month. I would like to invite you all to attend.

What is a virtual crop? I'm so glad you asked. It is where an event page is set up and the host/hostess gives challenges every couple hours. The attendees do the challenges and post a photo in the comment under the challenge. I have never been able to go to a physical crop so this gives the feel of one right in your home. You can interact with everyone on the event.

"In Memory"

This layout is for a challenge in a group I'm with. The theme was "In Memory". I didn't have any photos of anyone "Past" so I used this photo. This is my son at 18 years old and his 1st wife. I miss this girl so much. Sure wish they would have stayed together.

The background paper is Maggie Holmes Flourish collection, Charlotte. The pink strip in middle is Pink Paislee, Page Evans Pick-Me-Up, 23. The 2 scalloped strips are from Pebbles Forever My Always, Love Labels. The mat behind the photo is from the Maggie Holmes Flourish 6x8 paper pad. The title is American Crafts Thickers Dreamer. The gold embellies are American Crafts Recollection Thickers. The bling is some I had in my stash.

Color Collections

There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics.
In order to keep our color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, we moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection. We’ve also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!
Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections below. You can refer to the old and new color charts in the 2018-2019 catalog. These changes were based on needing to maintain color balance in our updated collections. For example, Poppy Parade is now the brightest red so it is part of the Brights collection.
